Process Graphic
For a realistic illustration, it's essential to find reference materials to reproduce the design accurately. Helping to recreate the object, I developed a method of designing flat - then converting it to isometric. Each element was developed on separate layers and arranged to have the appropriate perspective when being animated.

Education
Education is a passion of mine. Technology, video & online media has allowed me to overcome learning disabilities that once held me back, enabling my love of learning. One day I hope to effect positive change in the world through providing education to all who would seek it.
The illustrations of this project began as flat vector shapes in Illustrator before being brought into Photoshop and used to apply layered textures that captured its highlights, mid-tones, and shadows.

Science & Tech
Devices we take for granted every day have created incalculable increases to the general quality of life across the world, but problems persist. Many cannot effectively use their devices, leading them to feel left out. I hope to help improve usability & provide communicative designs to increase the accessibility of technology.
Each piece of the illustration was given its own artboard, allowing each to be saved with the proper scale & position relative to the other components when constructing its interactive animation. (Desktop only)

RPG's
Role playing games are a unique tool for learning to impart information to one another. The GM (game master) - who runs the game – envisions a story that’s described to players who use their characters to navigate the stories challenges. The characters of the stories you tell act as an exercise in putting yourself in someone else’s shoes; a skill that has far reaching applications outside the games.
The illustrations rely on the positioning and shadow to give them form and bring them from being 2D gradients to having the illusion of depth and texture.

Storytelling
Stories are a fundamental piece of how we communicate ideas to one another. It doesn’t matter if it’s a game, movie, book, show, or text on a blog post - the feelings & ideas they impart are what captures the mind of the viewer. Keeping them coming back for more.
To create the more intricate pieces of the illustrations, I first start with a pattern. A single portion of the design is used to build out the rest. It's then converted to an Illustrator 'pattern brush,' which is applied to a path to match the character's perspective before being cleaned up.

Art & Design
These subjects have been with me for over 10 years. It is a foundation that has provided me with the ability to think & learn visually. My studies have given me an extensive understanding of composition, form, volume, color-theory and lighting. With them, I've been able to express my ideas & share them with others more easily.
Each piece of the illustration is aligned on top of one another to make the complete image. The active portions of the design are then animated using mouse position relative to their containers X-Y axis. (Desktop only)
